Artist Bio
Amira Bass is a Philadelphia native with a passion for art. She is educated as an Emergency Physician, and balances the chaos and stress of work with the calming practice of jewelry making.
She incorporates fine-quality materials, precious and semi-precious gemstones, fine silver, sterling silver, vermeil and gold-filled metals, to create unique and visually stimulating wearable art. In addition to classic beading, she specializes in wire wrapping, acrylic paint and pyrography.
She has donated handmade fine jewelry for a variety of causes, benefiting the Women’s Law Project, The Fox Chase Cancer Center, City Year Philadelphia and the Philadelphia African American Museum.
Amira particularly enjoys personalized projects, and welcomes all requests for custom jewelry. She can easily incorporate birthstones, color themes, wedding party colors, family themes, or any other special idea to make your gift memorable.
Additionally, she enjoys photography, and personally photographs all her own jewelry.
